Founded by Frank and Marie DePrisco in 1948, DePrisco Jewelers is one of Boston’s iconic brands built on providing the highest quality merchandise and exceptional personalized service at a fair below-retail price, one customer at a time.
Although Frank and Marie have now ‘retired’ to Florida, the stores in Downtown Boston, Wellesley and on Cape Cod in Osterville continue to be family owned and operated and continue to provide top quality diamond, fine jewelry, and jewelry services.
Frank attributes DePrisco’s success to their humble beginnings “After WW2 I discovered that I had a talent for taking exceptional care of our customers – I was able to source the highest quality diamonds and give our customers exactly what they wanted, building each relationship one customer, one family at a time.”
DePrisco’s flagship store at the Jeweler’s Exchange Building in downtown Boston has flourished through the 1950s, 60s 70s 80s 90s into the 21st century by taking on Frank’s example of personal customer service – By treating each customer like family.
In the mid-1970s the DePrisco’s eldest daughter Donna left her career as an accomplished pianist to become a DePrisco employee along with younger brothers Skip and Albert.
In their May 2003 issue, Boston Magazine included Donna DePrisco in the article “Power: The 100 Women Who Run This Town”. Although DePrisco is referred to in this story as Boston’s ‘Jeweler to the stars.’, what is much most important to her is the DePrisco family’s legacy of community service and contribution to local charity.
DePrisco Jeweler’s ongoing contribution to local charities including Rosies Place, Catholic Charities, The Bill Belichick Foundation, The Jimmy Fund, The New England Home for Little Wanderers, St. Francis House, Boch Center and many, more.
Donna DePrisco has also served on the boards of Catholic Charities, the Boston Public Library, the MFA. In 2016 and she appointed to the board of Mass Humanities by Governor Charlie Baker.
